Acceptable-Use Policy

The Service exists to make statutory figures reliably available, including to automated consumers — scripted and AI-agent access to the free tier is expected and welcome. This policy exists to keep it available for everyone.

You may

• Read any figure, its history and its citations, by browser, script, agent or MCP.
• Cache and vendor values into your own systems (attribution per the terms).
• Download the free bulk dataset per release and redistribute it under OGL attribution.

You may not

• Circumvent rate limits, key checks or tier boundaries, or share, resell or pool API keys.
• Scrape at volumes designed to substitute for the bulk download or a paid tier — use the bulk dataset; it is free.
• Misrepresent Statbook output as legal, tax or financial advice, or present it as carrying an indemnity or guarantee it does not carry.
• Republish the dataset stripped of its status labels, citations or correction history in a way that presents unverified values as verified.
• Use the Service in a way that breaks the law, or attempt to compromise its integrity or that of its sources.

Enforcement

Breach may result in rate restriction, key revocation or IP blocking, escalating with severity. Where a paid key is revoked for breach, unused subscription time and credits are forfeit.
