Version 1.0 · Effective 8 July 2026
Statbook is not advice. It answers one question class only: what is or was statutory figure X, as of date D — and prove it. It never answers whether a figure applies to you, whether you are eligible for anything, or what you should do.
No legal, tax or financial advice
Nothing on this site or in the API is legal advice, tax advice, financial advice or a substitute for professional advice on your circumstances. Whether and how a statutory figure applies to a real situation depends on facts and law outside this registry's scope — that is a question for a qualified adviser.
What the figures are
Each figure is an extraction from the cited official sources — the governing legislation and, where available, official guidance — with its verification state honestly labelled. The authoritative text is always the cited instrument itself, not our extraction of it. If this registry and the legislation ever disagree, the legislation is right and we publish a correction.
What we do not promise
- We do not claim 100% accuracy; we claim traceability, corroboration, daily re-verification, versioning and a public correction trail — see the assurance page for precisely what that catches and what it cannot catch.
- Figures whose
source_typeis not primary legislation (for example judicial guidance or administrative rates) carry a published, degraded assurance level — the label is part of the data. - No indemnity is offered at any tier.
Liability
Liability is as set out in section 7 of the Terms of Service: no liability for reliance on published figures; a cap of fees paid in the last 12 months for paying subscribers; £0 for free use; nothing excluded that cannot lawfully be excluded.
