Corroborated Act of Parliament Great Britain in force since 2004-10-01

Scope: The figure is the pair of week-counts the Act states; the cash is the count multiplied by the capped week's pay, a companion derivation under D14. GOV.UK states the ceiling only ("up to 4 weeks' pay"), which is what is registered as the guidance sentence.

A range located by two authored LOCATORS phrases, both read from s.38(4) and both required; no textual amendment touches the subsection. effective_from is the commencement of s.38, read from the archived Employment Act 2002 (Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provision) Order 2004 (S.I. 2004/1717), article 2(2): "The following provisions of the Act shall, subject to article 3, come into force on 1st October 2004: … sections 34 to 40; Schedules 2 to 5" — s.38 is inside "sections 34 to 40" and Schedule 5, which s.38(2) works through, is inside "Schedules 2 to 5". The Order's own article 3 qualifies the date for sections 31 and 32 and Schedule 2 only, so nothing in it reaches s.38. This SETTLES the D-RD-4 dated debt the row carried until 2026-09-14, when the Order was archived; the probe returns ACT-HOLDS at 2004-10-01 exactly as it did at the convention date, because no textual amendment touches s.38(4) at any date. The Order's title is "Commencement No. 6 and Transitional Provision" — the row previously named it "Commencement No. 6", which the archived document corrects.
