Tribunal award: flexible working (weeks' pay)

The ceiling in weeks' pay on compensation a tribunal can award over a mishandled flexible-working request.

8weeks' pay
Primary source only Statutory Instrument Great Britain in force since 2014-06-30

Checked against its sources: statute verified 2026-09-21

Scope: A CEILING on a compensation award, and the tribunal may award less or nothing: section 80I(1)(b) lets it award "such amount as it considers appropriate" up to this maximum, and may instead order the employer to reconsider the application. A week's pay here is capped by Employment Rights Act 1996 s.227, so the cash ceiling moves every April with the uprating Order — that product is a D14 companion, Tribunal award: flexible working (maximum in pounds), and never this record. Section 80I was NOT the provision to read for the number: the Act delegates it, and this regulation is where it is stated.

An SI carry (ADR-0014), and a HOST-STATES one: no textual amendment touches regulation 6, so the 2014 Regulations state the value by their own words and their as-made text is its own frozen witness. The checklist's A-source cell said "ERA 1996 s80I"; the Act confers the remedy and prescribes nothing, so the instrument is where the figure lives — another A-source cell read as a claim and corrected from the bytes. No archived GOV.UK page states the eight weeks, so the record is single_source_A by design.
