Scope: The ceiling, and only where the tribunal thinks it just and equitable: s.38(2)-(3) award the minimum amount as the norm and the higher amount as the exception, so this is not what a claimant ordinarily receives. Computed at the CAP, so a worker earning less than the statutory limit is awarded less. The floor is Tribunal award: no written statement of employment (minimum in pounds); the pair of week-counts the Act states is Tribunal award: no written statement of employment (weeks' pay), a range, and this record is its upper bound multiplied by the capped week's pay (D14). One derived record holding both bounds is not possible today (D-D14-4), which is why the pair is two money records.

How it is worked out: Tribunal award: no written statement of employment (weeks' pay) (maximum) × Maximum week's pay (redundancy and unfair dismissal) — recomputed from its corroborated inputs on every build.

Compiler's notes

Not a figure any document states. GOV.UK's written-statement page says "Compensation can be up to 4 weeks' pay" — the COUNT this record's week-count limb already carries as its guidance source, and not a cash amount — so there is no B side here, and both limbs are cited as legislation instead.
